As nurses you are all personally responsible for our own professional development. OSJCT is committed to supporting all nurses with this development to ensure that at all times you have the skills and energy to meet our resident’s needs and wishes with sensitivity, compassion and best practice nursing care.
Our in house training and management development department means that all nurses across the Trust are offered the opportunity to undertake a broad spectrum of in house training courses, from accredited dementia care to supervisory management, and external courses. We are also actively seeking to build dialogues with leading clinical and academic organisations to ensure our practice development is right up to date.
As employers we acknowledge the key role nurses play in setting standards of care and leading the care team. Annually we run in house conferences for nursing staff, which provide a forum for our nurses to network across the Trust.
