This annual event is now an established part of the care homes routines and staff, volunteers and residents enjoy working on their home’s garden, including making creative containers and hanging baskets.

The Judges’ Special Recommendations go to
- Alf Keen, resident at St Edburgs House, for his enthusiasm and the incredible vegetable garden which he keeps going at the age of 93.
Also receiving Special Awards were
- Madley Park House for their impressive beach feature and being the most improved
- Townsend House for creating a model village in the garden and for the most resident participation
