Aug 2010 - Oxfordshire's Gardening Competition 2010

This annual event is now an established part of the care homes routines and staff, volunteers and residents enjoy working on their home’s garden, including making creative containers and hanging baskets.

Julie John , Receptionist, and Elaine Ratcliffe, Area Operations Manager, from the County Office did a whistle stop tour of all 18 homes to judge the overall Best Garden and categories of Best Handing Basket and Most Unusual Container.   The decisions that have to be made to determine the winners are unsurprisingly very difficult due to so many lovely gardens but here are this year’s results…..

2nd The Meadows

3rd Chilterns End
