Sep 2011 - Harvest festival
Our first-ever Harvest Festival was held at The Ark Church Hall in North Hykeham on Thursday 15 September 2011. Over 100 residents from our homes displayed their produce for judging by two ladies from the local Women's Institute. Winners of the categories were :
Home grown fruit and vegetables - Winner Gregory House, Runner-up Patchett Lodge
Best flower arrangement - Winner The Poplars, Runner-up Eresby Hall
Home baked items - Winner The Poplars, Runner-up Fosse House
Home-made preserves - Winner Boultham Park, Runner-up Hartsholme House
Best in show - Winner Fosse House, Runner-up Eresby Hall

Residents and staff also had lunch and enjoyed a song from All Saints Primary School choir. Rev. Andy Chapnman from All Saints Church gave a blessing.
The array of produce was fantastic and it was obvious that the homes had put such a lot of effort and hard work into their displays which made it very hard to judge. Well done to everyone involved for making this such a special day.
