This depends entirely upon your individual care needs. You may be able to move into “extra care” accommodation. This means you effectively live independently in an apartment within one of our extra care schemes but have the reassurance and security of 24 hour 7 day a week care support. However, if you need a greater level of assistance, it may be that you will need to move into a care home. We recognise that this can be quite a daunting prospect so it’s important to get the right information and if at all possible, visit homes which you feel may be suitable for you. This gives you the opportunity to look at all areas of the home and you are welcome to talk to residents and members of staff. However, if for some reason it isn’t possible for you to visit, don’t worry. We can arrange for someone from the Home to come and visit you. They can bring pictures of the Home to show you and will of course answer any questions you may have.
Our Home Managers and staff teams will always do their best to explain to you all aspects of the Home and how it works.
