Aug 2011 - Garden Party
The weather was kind to us for our Garden Party this year. Many people enjoyed browsing the many stalls including homemade cakes, nearly new clothing, plants and the white elephant and book stall. Others tried their luck on the tombola and the raffle, the first prize being a bistro set. Berryhill band proved to be very popular as were the "Wild Oats" morris dancers and the birds of prey. Scones with jam and cream, teas, coffees, filled rolls and the licensed bar were also enjoyed by many.
The Garden Party was a huge success and we raised approximately £800.00 for our residents amenities fund. This was all possible due to the many donations received, and the people that ran stalls, fetched and carried, baked cakes and supported the garden party. Our thanks goes out to all residents, relatives, friends and staff who made it possible to achieve such a magnificent profit.
