May 2010 - May 2010
This month we have done alot of our regular activities, crosswords, games, singing, bingo and quizes. We also did an activity writing Limericks, which proved to be a very enjoyable and fun afternoon. We managed to write 12 Limericks between us about some of the staff and residents. We all had such a laugh writing these and were amazed at the results. Below are 2 of the Limericks for your entertainment.
There was a young lady called Ivy,
Who was always bright and lively,
Her friend was named Dick,
And he had a big stick,
Which he wagged in the air on a Friday.
There was a young girl named Nat,
Who always loved a good chat,
She never stopped talking,
Even when she was walking,
And fell on her face with a splat!
During two afternoons, we were joined by Laura Baker from the Star College. Laura is studying Health and Social Care and asked if she could come and participate in some of our activities. She is a lovely girl and spent time chatting with the residents after the activity. It was a privilege to have her with us.
We are looking forward to a trip out next week in the bus, our first this year. We are hoping to tour the Cotswolds with some nice weather to boot!
