What’s it like to be a volunteer in one of OSJCT’s care homes?

We have volunteers covering all age ranges, from many different backgrounds and with a huge variety of skills. What they have in common is their desire to spend some time with our residents to help our staff give our residents the best quality of life they can.

Here’s what some of them have to say about their experiences in our care homes:

“I enjoy volunteering with OSJCT because of the interactions with the residents and hearing stories about their lives.”

“It’s great to feel that I’m making a difference to the lives of residents.”

“I would recommend volunteering with OSJCT – it gives you direct contact with the elderly in our community and an appreciation for how they have served society. By volunteering I feel I can make a positive contribution to their lives.”
