Meet the team

The talented chef and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals on site daily from our own kitchens. We source quality produce for our excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. All-day dining is available for lighter meals and snacks and all dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value and cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences.

Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join us. The menus change daily and the kettle is always on. Our chef bakes every day so there is always a fresh cake for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Residents are also encouraged to help prepare their own food and to make snacks whenever they choose.

Whether it’s wet or dry outside, we at OSJCT feel that activities are essential in providing the best caring environment to live in.

Hobbies don’t simply stop when living with us at Madley Park. We’ve had silent discos, hoe downs, Chinese banquets, Oscar parties and so much more.

Many of the activities feature Reminiscence Therapy to aid those living with Dementia to remember events, people and places using sight, touch, taste, smell and sound.

Meet the team

Home Manager

Niki started working for the Trust in 2005. She began as a Senior Care Leader and in 2006, Niki was offered the position of NVQ Assessor within the Leaning and development team. As the role evolved, Niki became a Learning and Development Advisor, delivering training to our teams in Gloucestershire, and eventually went on to lead this team.

In 2017, Niki went back to an operational role as Deputy Manager at The Lakes Care Centre.  Following a break, Niki returned to the Trust as a Scheme Manager for Extra Care Housing on a short-term contract. She was delighted to accept a permanent position as the Registered Manager at Madley Park in October 2021.

In her spare time, Niki likes to spend time with her family in the lovely village she lives in. She can often be found in her kitchen cooking enough to feed the street!

Activity Coordinator

Charleigh Hyatt is the Activities Coordinator at Madley Park House.

Charleigh started working here in 2019 as a carer. She started her career in care as she always enjoyed being around the elderly and listening to their stories, having a sing and dance and more. She was a day carer for 2 years before she decided to change her role to night lead. After doing this for a year she decided to apply for the Activities Coordinator.

Charleigh says "Moving to this job role has been one of the best decisions I have made career wise. It gives me the opportunity to spend one on one time with all the residents and get to know them on a deeper level. I ensure each resident gets the stimulation they need by doing a variety of different activities to meet their needs. Skittles, Bingo and playing Scrabble are all firm favourites".

When Charleigh isn't working, she enjoys socialising with her friends and family.

Head of Care

Sam started his career in care in 2018 as Domiciliary care support staff and then progressed to care supervisor. Sam joined the Trust in 2021 as care leader, 4 months into his job at OSJCT he was promoted to Head of Dementia care at Lake House care centre. Sam started his NVQ level 5 and then moved to Madley Park as Head of Care in April 2023. He is looking to keep progressing his career with the Trust.

Sam enjoys caring for the residents and also making them smile and laugh with humour.

Sam enjoys cycling in his free time(when the weather is nice) and spending time with his partner and friends.
