Carer Leader / Team Leader

Location: Southfield, Stroud

Salary: £9.94 – £11.33

Hours of work: full and part time hours available

The Home

Southfield is a 34-bed residential Home within ½ mile of Stroud town centre, thus connected to all forms of public transport. Its recently refurbed environment ensure that residents are comfortable and have all they require. This includes care being given by the committed and sensitive care team. We are now recruiting a Care Leader to join our new team!

As a Care Leader you play an integral part of the care team, you will be responsible for leading, managing and supporting your care team ensuring they are providing high quality of care and service to all residents always.

You’ll play a key part with care delivery in the home, ensuring care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident’s care.

You will take an active part in engaging with residents to understand their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences. Working within the Care team you will show warmth, compassion and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.

Requirements for the Role:

For this role you must:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 months full-time or equivalent work in a residential care setting with older people.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of Dementia Care.
