Carer Leader / Team Leader

Location: The Grace Care Centre, Thornbury, South Gloucestershire
Hours of work: Full Time or Part Time Hours available.

The Grace Care Centre will be a state of the art 70 bed specialist dementia care centre, offering the opportunity for residents to live in luxury surroundings, with experienced care professionals on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are delighted to be working with the University of Sterling Dementia Services Centre to ensure we meet their Gold Standard in dementia design so we are confident that our new home can fully support those living with Dementia.
We are now recruiting Carer Leaders to join our new team!
As a Care Leader you play an integral part of the care team, you will be responsible for leading, managing and supporting your care team ensuring they are providing high quality of care and service to all residents at all times.
You’ll play a key part with care delivery in the home, ensuring care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents care.
You will take an active part in engaging with residents to understand their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences. Working within the Care team you will show warmth, compassion and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.

Requirements for the Role:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Minimum 12 months full-time or equivalent work in a residential care setting with older people.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of Dementia Care.
