Deputy Home Manager - Clinical

Salary: £36,000

Jubilee Lodge is a 74 bedded, modern care home accommodating nursing, re enablement and dementia care in the beautiful Cotswold Village of Bourton on the Water. The home is accessible from Cheltenham and surrounding areas. You will be joining an enthusiastic and committed team who strive to provide person centred care. The home is very proactive within the community, has its own minibus and runs many social events for residents, employees and local communities alike. The team itself is supplemented by a group of volunteers who are actively involved in the running of the homes shop and supporting activities. You will enjoy the vibrant atmosphere at Jubilee Lodge where we promote friendly interactions between residents and employees.

Duties of the Deputy Home Manager may include but are not restricted:

To undertake initial assessment to potential residents and work in partnership with the residents, friends, family and advocates, guiding them through the process of admission.

To negotiate individual care plans with residents, continually assessing and evaluating to ensure agreed outcomes are met.

To proactively lead a team that provides excellence in clinical practice, to ensure that residents rights to choice, privacy, dignity and safety are met.

To actively supervise and monitor care practices. Identifying and responding appropriately to the changing needs of residents.

To deputise for the Home Manager in their absence, being responsible for the running of the Home.

To be professionally accountable for the work delegated to other members of the care team.

To take responsibility for the induction, supervision and mentorship of qualified staff, carers and students nurses.

To ensure that all medication, including controlled drugs are ordered, stored, administered, documented and disposed of in accordance with the Trust policy.

For this role you must have:

Experience in a senior or team leader nursing role.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
