Deputy Home Manager - Clinical

Salary: £36000- £38,000

Grevill House/Ashley Unit is a 50 bed Nursing/Residential home attached to a 15 bed Intermediate care facility, located within a short walk of Charlton Kings, a suburb of Cheltenham. Grevill House is a well established care home which have forged strong community links to ensure a transparent approach to living and working within a care home. The Home Manager ensures that all staff are well supported to achieve their own developmental aspirations. The Ashley Unit provides an invaluable rehabilitation service that enables residents to be reskilled and relocate back to their own homes. This purpose built building provides a supportive environment for residents and the team alike.

Duties of the Deputy Home Manager may include but are not restricted:

To undertake initial assessment to potential residents and work in partnership with the residents, friends, family and advocates, guiding them through the process of admission.

To negotiate individual care plans with residents, continually assessing and evaluating to ensure agreed outcomes are met.

To proactively lead a team that provides excellence in clinical practice, to ensure that residents rights to choice, privacy, dignity and safety are met.

To actively supervise and monitor care practices. Identifying and responding appropriately to the changing needs of residents.

To deputise for the Home Manager in their absence, being responsible for the running of the Home.

To be professionally accountable for the work delegated to other members of the care team.

To take responsibility for the induction, supervision and mentorship of qualified staff, carers and students nurses.

To ensure that all medication, including controlled drugs are ordered, stored, administered, documented and disposed of in accordance with the Trust policy.

For this role you must have:

Experience in a senior or team leader nursing role.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
