The Orders of St John Care Trust is the 2nd largest not for profit care provider in the UK specialising in providing high quality, person centred care for older people, in care homes and extra care housing. Chestnut Court is located in Quedgeley, just outside Gloucester but with good transport links with the city. It is a modern home where residents with complex nursing needs as well as those with dementia live in four households, each accommodating 20 people. You will be joining a vibrant team of nurses, care leaders, housekeepers, caterers, maintenance and administrator. All of these are dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents and supporting them to achieve as much as they can for themselves. If you have a particular interest in a specific aspect of care, we can facilitate your development by helping you become a champion in that area.
Care is at the heart of everything that we do. Working within the Care team you will show warmth, compassion and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.
Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of people you are looking after. You will often be helping people with their personal needs as well as supporting them to go about their daily activities, but you will know what makes a difference to them and what helps to put a smile on their face.
