Chestnut Court is located in Quedgeley, just outside Gloucester but with good transport links with the city. It is a modern home where residents with complex nursing needs as well as those with dementia live in four households, each accommodating 20 people. You will be joining a vibrant team of nurses, care leaders, housekeepers, caterers, maintenance and administrator. All of these are dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents and supporting them to achieve as much as they can for themselves. If you have a particular interest in a specific aspect of care, we can facilitate your development by helping you become a champion in that area
What your day will look like:
As a General Assistant you will be responsible for helping to serve meals, snacks and drinks for residents within the guidelines set by the Home Manager and Chef / Cook. You will understand and promote the philosophy of choice rights and fulfilment for all residents. You will get to know the residents and understand their likes and dislikes to ensure that they enjoy their dining experience. As part of your role you will help out with care duties, ensuring are residents are well looked after and comfortable.
