Person centred care - the support you need, when you need it.
The more we know about you, the easier it is for us to understand what’s important to you, your routines and habits, what you like or don’t like and why that might be. This helps us to tailor your care to suit not only your medical and physical needs but your personal and emotional preferences too.
That means we need to get to know as much as possible about each person. When the person living with us isn’t able to give us that information themselves, perhaps because they have a dementia, we rely on family and friends to help us.
We try to maintain a sense of independence for everyone living in our homes, as far as is possible and practical. We focus on what you can do, not what you can't. And we encourage everyone making their home with us to personalise their rooms, with treasured possessions, photographs and small pieces of furniture too. This creates a homely environment, so that everyone feels comfortable, safe and “at home”, which is very important.
Above all, we never forget that this is YOUR home.
If you have any questions, or would like any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re happy to help find the best care for you.
