Over 100 of our residents from across Lincolnshire came together to join in the festive celebrations for this years Christmas event which was held at the Venue in Navenby on Wednesday 9 December.

The party was full of festive fun, including a Christmas Carol Service, pantomime, singing and dancing.  At lunch time there were lots of Christmas treats and residents were offered a glass of bucks fizz, sherry or beer.

The Annual Festive Bake Competition also took place and our judges, including Jill Hughes, Trustee for Lincolnshire, had the difficult job of tasting the cakes and decided that on this occasion the Winners were Boultham Park House.  Congratulations to our residents and colleagues who worked together to produce a wonderful cake.

Caroline Dunagan, Lincolnshire Assistant Operations Director for OSJCT, said: “Everyone in our homes always gets excited in the run up to Christmas.  Our party offers the perfect occasion for residents and colleagues across Lincolnshire to get together to celebrate and have fun.

“The festive season is a really important time.  Our hope for the annual Christmas party was that, by hearing the carols and celebrating with friends and neighbours, it would help trigger reminiscence of past Christmases — hopefully bringing back many fond memories. And based on the feedback of residents, we think it did just that, which is fantastic!”
