Lake House care home, operated by The Orders of St John Care Trust, held a brunch to welcome Banbury police officers to the home. An engaging event which was enjoyed by all with one resident inviting them back for a sing-a-long!

In anticipation of the event, the home chefs came in early to bake several cakes and pastries, and to create their own ‘McMuffin’ meals. A mouth-watering spread was laid out for all to indulge.

During the morning both residents and carers chatted with the officers about any happenings in Banbury as well as what the officers most liked about their jobs.

Alex Grindle, Lake House Home Manager, commented: “We were very thankful to the Banbury police officers who came to our home and took time out of their day to be with our residents. We all had a really wonderful time conversing over a hearty breakfast. Our local community links are very important to us and also when they bring about lovely experiences such as this to our residents.”
