Care Home Open Day at Stirlings

Stirlings celebrated this year’s Care Home Open Day on 21st April 2018 with family, friends and the local community of Wantage. The event coincided with the Queens 92nd birthday, and to celebrate, Stirlings hosted a garden party.

Guests and relatives had a taste of the Home Manager’s very own non-alcoholic fruit punch, and there was plenty of tea, cake and ice lollies to go around. Visitors were spoilt with a manicure pamper station, a games station, baking and entertainment. The home also encouraged everyone to create an All About Me Profile, which is a support tool to enable person-centred care.

The home’s hairdresser was also on hand, and many of the residents had their hair done for the event. To pay tribute to the Queen’s birthday, the home was decorated with flags and bunting, and they celebrated with a good old sing-along, and of course, a good old British cup of tea.
