We were delighted to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement and excellence in care delivery at our Trust Awards Ceremony, held in the prestigious surroundings of Salisbury's Guildhall.
Colleagues from all over the Trust, accompanied by family and friends, gathered in the beautiful Guildhall in Salisbury for the annual Trust Awards Ceremony. On this very special occasion, we present our highest accolades to recognise exceptional performance. These are:
- the Chairman's Commendation for Meritorious Service, presented to individuals who have performed significantly over and above their routine duties;
- the John Monckton Memorial Prize, a team award, presented to the home which has best interpreted and executed the annual theme for the benefit of their residents; and
- the Earl of Gainsborough Award for Excellence, presented to any home which has achieved all three Trust accreditations (in Care, Medicines Management and Infection Prevention & Control) and an Excellent rating in its internal Trust audit, all during the 12 month period between 1 September and 31 August.
Trust Chairman, Don Wood (pictured above with all award recipients), praised all prize winners and emphasised the gratitude and appreciation of the Board of Trustees for all the efforts made by colleagues in supporting our residents. In presenting the Earl of Gainsborough Awards, Richard Fitzalan Howard (Trustee and President of the British Association of the Sovereign Order of Malta) reiterated this sentiment, highlighting specifically the vital importance of delivering quality care to those who are entrusted to our care.
More news about these awards in the next issue of Trust in Care, due for publication in the New Year.
