Lincolnshire residents enjoy activities and events during Dementia Awareness Week
Whitefriars - Stamford
During the week, the Activity Co-ordinators took residents to a 1940’s theme tea party at Christ Church Day Centre. Everybody really enjoyed their day. Children from Bluecoats School sang 1940’s songs which all of the residents sang along to and it brought back very happy memories. The residents really loved the afternoon tea and the cakes went down very well!
On Thursday there was a Pimms garden party. This took place in the Jasmine garden. Many relatives and friends came to the party and enjoyed fresh cream scones and strawberries. The residents and relatives really enjoyed the sunshine drinking a glass of Pimms or beer. Staff, residents and relatives really enjoyed playing quoites together. It was a really lovely afternoon and brought everybody together.
Skirbeck Court - Boston
Residents enjoyed an afternoon on the river with a boat trip on the Boston Belle which included tea time treats.
Gregory House - Grantham
Residents enjoyed many varied activities during the week including a pamper morning with Zenda (Activities Co-ordinator) doing nails and reflexology hand message sessions. One of the volunteers also visited Gregory to do make up and hair should anyone want to look that extra special!
