Edwardstow Court in Stow-on-the-Wold will be opening their doors on Friday 28th June for Care Home Open Day.
The doors will be open to the local community from 10am – 4pm, visitors will be welcome to join in any activities. This year the theme for Care Home Open Day is celebrating the role of arts in care with a few key values at its heart: friendship, making connections and celebrating older and vulnerable people.
Edwardstow will be running a coffee morning from 10:30am – 12pm where they will display the artwork they have been making with the residents along with community groups and the local school. One of Edwardstow’s carers, Venessa, has been running weekly art workshops so there will also be some lovely watercolours on display.
Local artist Louise from Willow Tree Art is doing a “drop in and have a go” art session from 2pm - 4pm.
Edwardstow Court has a few resident artists, so the home will be sure to display some of the artwork they have created over the years.
Of course, if you are not arty, you are very welcome to join Edwardstow for a cup of tea and some delicious homemade cake! The doors will be open all day and Edwardstow would love to show you around the home.
