Festive Fun at Christmas Party

Nearly 150 residents, employees and volunteers from across our Wiltshire homes got into the Christmas spirit and came together to sing, socialise and celebrate the festive season at our traditional Christmas party at The Corn Exchange in Devizes on 14th December.

The party was jam-packed with fun and festive activities, including a Memory Lane Disco and afternoon tea, as well as featuring the judging of our mini decorated Christmas cake competition.

The festive season is a really important time for older people in care, particularly those living with dementia. Our hope for the annual Christmas party was that, by hearing the carols and celebrating with friends and neighbours, it would help trigger reminiscence of past Christmases — hopefully bringing back fond memories that will make our residents happier and more content. And based on the feedback of residents, we think it did just that, which is fantastic!
