Langford View Care home in Bicester has been awarded the Earl of Gainsborough Award for Quality for the second time at the prestigious OSJCT Chairman’s Commendations and Awards Ceremony.

The annual internal awards ceremony recognises employees for their outstanding contribution and for going above and beyond the call of duty in the 17 Oxfordshire homes run by the not-for-profit care home provider.

Awarded to two of OSJCT's Oxfordshire homes, Langford View and Marston Court in Oxford, The Earl of Gainsborough Award for Quality was presented by the Earl of Gainsborough’s daughter, Lady Celestria Hales. Farida Ait-Tales, Home Manager of Langford View received this prestigious award at the ceremony which took place on Wednesday 7th November in the Chapter House at Lincoln Cathedral.

Langford View is one of two homes in the Trust to have achieved this award twice, having won it previously in 2015. The award recognises excellence in care delivery as measured by achieving all three of the Trust's Care & Quality Accreditations (Care, Medicines Management, and Infection Prevention and Control), in addition to gaining an 'Excellent' rating in their internal audit, all within a 12-month period.

OSJCT Chief Executive, Dan Hayes, said: "Every single one of our employees works extremely hard throughout the year delivering and maintaining the best standard of care to our residents. This special Trust awards ceremony is the perfect occasion for us to shine the spotlight on our very own stars and recognise those colleagues who have really stood out during the last 12 months. It is great to be able to celebrate the exceptional commitment and commend their hard work at such an important and prestigious event."
