Each year the quantity and quality of the produce that our homes bring to our annual event gets bigger and better. The displays each home creates are outstanding and everybody who participates should be very proud.

The event started off with a service which was led by Rev Susan Williamson, colleagues joined in and delivered readings and everybody enjoyed joining in with the hymns.

Whilst a delicious buffet lunch was being enjoyed by our guests the judges set to work and after much deliberation placed certificates and rosettes on this year’s winning entries. After lunch residents were also able to take the time to have a look at the displays and enjoy the variety of flowers, vegetables and handicrafts on show.

The best in show was very difficult to judge, so much had gone in to both Ermine and Gregory Houses display the judges were torn. Gregory House was awarded best in show because the content of their display was so varied and they had covered so many of the categories and also displayed a lot of pictures of the residents enjoying making the products.
