Wendy Moore retires after 43 years service with OSJCT.
In 1974 Wendy Moore joined Stirlings care home in Wantage as a domestic cleaner. After some time, Wendy moved onto an assistant cook position within the home. She started a family, and eventually moved to night shifts as a Carer, and has thrived in this role for the last 40 years.
To celebrate Wendy’s wonderful career and dedication to the home, Stirlings’ Home Manager, Lisa Duffy, and her team arranged a tea party with past and present colleagues. The guest list included past Home Manager, Maggie Knowles, and OSJCT’s Chief Executive, Dan Hayes, who presented Wendy with flowers, chocolates and wine as a thank you for her service.
Wendy is unsure what she will do with her new-found time, but has said you can bet that she will be busy with arts and crafts. She has even promised to come and visit the home, with plans to make ornaments for Christmas that the residents can decorate the home with.
Everyone from OSJCT sends a huge thank you to Wendy for her dedication and hard work over the last 43 years; the team at Stirlings will miss you!
