Residents and employees danced the afternoon away at this years' Christmas Party.

On Tuesday 13thDecember, over 150 residents and employees attended the Winter Wonderland themed annual Christmas Party.

A warm welcome was given by Sara Livadeas (OSJCT Strategy Director) followed by some lovely traditional carols, sung by local secondary school boys from St Birinus School, Didcot.

A quick Christmas Quiz was squeezed in before tucking in to a warm turkey casserole for lunch.

Daisy Chain productions provided the afternoon entertainment and it was clear to see how much it was enjoyed as lots of dancing and singing followed, with some solos from residents and dancing on the stage.

Throughout the party, some elves were judging the fancy dress entries with the winners being:

Best dressed female resident: Elsie from Old Station House

Best dressed male resident: Jeff from Longlands

Best dressed employee/volunteer: Carly Willimont (the snowman)

Best dressed home: Marston Court

There was also a competition for the best homemade Christmas Tree Topper which was won by Stirlings Care Home.

Winners of the quiz were The Meadows Care Home.

The festivities ended with a special surprise visit from Santa Claus himself who handed out a present to all residents before a closing speech by Sara.

It was lovely to see so many people dressed up in Christmas attire and linking in with the theme.

Everyone had a lovely time and I would like to thank everyone for the time and effort they put in to help make the party so special.

A special thanks to St Birinus School choir and Daisy Chain productions for the entertainment you provided.

Merry Christmas Everyone and a Happy New Year.
