Wiltshire Annual Employee Awards 2016 - Recognising Outstanding Achievements
Our employees throughout Wiltshire have been recognised and awarded for their outstanding work and commitment at our annual Employee Awards ceremony, held at the Civic Centre in Warminster on Tuesday 24 May. Awards were presented by OSJCT Directors, along with Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire Mr. David Stratton, Cllr Paul MacFarlane, Mayor of Warminster, and Victoria Lyons of Dementia UK.
29 employees received certificates for completing qualifications in Health & Social Care, Dementia Care, Cleaning and Support Services Skills, Food Production and Cooking, Team Leading, Moving and Handling, Activity Provision, Business & Administration and the Care Certificate.
Care & Quality Accreditation Awards were also presented to Brookside for Infection Prevention & Control, Marden Court for Medicines Management and Ridgeway House for Medicines Management and Dementia Care.
The winners of our Special Awards, as nominated for by our residents, work colleagues and residents family members, were presented to the following employees;
Unsung Hero of the Year - Pauline Lavis (Hayward Care Centre)
Hospitality Award of the Year - Sally Reynolds (Watersmead)
Office / Support Employee of the Year - Graeme Murdoch (Marden Court)
Activity Coordinator of the Year - Samantha Dean (Fives Court)
Volunteer of the Year - Julie Kolasinski (The Cedars) & Sonia Gittins (Hungerford House)
Leader of the Year - Julian Gibson (Avonbourne Care Centre)
Young Carer of the Year - Shanna Haddrell (Hayward Care Centre)
Carer of the Year - Katie Orchard (Willowcroft)
Trust Nurse of the Year - Liz Colquhoun (Wiltshire Admiral Nurse)
In addition we were delighted to present Jennifer Rymell of Althelstan House with her 35 year Long Service Award.
