This delightful home features small households with eight bedrooms.Opened in March 2018 Edwardstow Court Care Centre offers compassionate, individualised residential, dementia, respite and day care for up to 48 residents. The specialist home environment has been designed to enhance the quality of life of people living with dementia and incorporates a number of features to promote reminiscence as therapy.

Designed with an eye to a traditional ‘manor house’ style, with a blend of Cotswold stone and contemporary construction, this delightful home features small households with eight bedrooms. Every household has its own comfortable lounge and dining area, with easy access to assisted bathroom, kitchen and quiet sitting rooms.
Every resident has access to a comfortable and homely household living area, including a beautifully furnished lounge and sitting room, kitchen and dining room. From spacious bedrooms, with stylish en-suite ‘wet room’ bathrooms to the thoughtfully landscaped gardens, Edwardstow Court Care Centre offers an outstanding home environment.
Residents’ can enjoy the social activities going on every day in the central communal areas including a hairdressing salon, coffee shop, outdoor terrace. The comfortable coffee shop on the ground floor is a perfect place to meet family and friends.
The location of this new home has been carefully chosen. Close to the small market town in Stow- On-The-Wold.
Food and Nutrition
Our talented chef and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals. The freshly prepared, delicious dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value, and cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences. Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible, and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join.
The menus change daily and the kettle is always on, so hot drinks are available throughout the day. Our chef bakes daily so there is always a fresh cake to enjoy.
The dedicated Activities Coordinators are there to make life as stimulating and varied as possible, they work with the residents to shape the schedules of activities by holding regular meetings and questionnaires with the residents, here is an idea of activities they might organise:

- Trips to the local gardening centre
- Birthday party
- Visit from PAT dogs
- Board game competitions and quizzes
- Keep fit
With so many well-being activities for body and mind, we also recognise that everyone needs some time to honour their spirit with relaxation and mindfulness for personal reflection. The cosy lounges and dining areas offer an opportunity to socialise with friends and family or join in larger social events, but you will also find places to enjoy peace and quiet.

- Friday Coffee Morning: 10.30am – 11.30am.
- Friday Lunch Club: 1st Friday of each month 12.30pm - 2pm, £5 per person, Lunch is served at 12.30pm
- Autumn Dementia Day: Wednesday 14th November 2pm - 5pm - Find out about the types of dementia and the symptoms and behaviours along with the benefits of music therapy.
- Cotswold Christmas Fayre: Saturday 8th December 2pm - 4pm - A variety of stall, mulled wine and mince pies.
- Afternoon Tea with Father Christmas: Saturday 15th December 2pm - 5pm - Visit our Christmas grotto, £3 entry include a goody bag and ginerbread decorating.

The team has demonstrated an outstanding on-going achievement in providing high quality, compassionate, personalised care, to support people to live well with dementia within the care environment and that there is an on-going commitment from all team members to uphold excellence in dementia care. This accreditation is endorsed by Dementia UK.
