Services offered: Extra Care Housing
Windmill Place in Thames, opened in 2012, offers 24-hour planned domiciliary care and emergency response to allow you to live independently in your own home. The Orders of St John Care Trust were appointed in 2016, following a rigorous selection process, to provide the onsite care services.
Thame is a traditional English market town in Oxfordshire, about 9 miles (14 km) east of the city of Oxford and 7 miles (11 km) southwest of the Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury. It has a unique heritage, with a strong independent retail sector and a wide range of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms.
There are plenty of good, local facilities in the town (including a community hospital) and a lively, weekly market.
The 40 spacious one and two bedroomed apartments, built and managed by SoHa Housing, are available for rent (30 apartments) or shared ownership (10 apartments). Come and go as you please, safe in the knowledge that our friendly, professional and well-trained team are on hand to give you the support and reassurance you need to continue to live a fulfilling lifestyle in your own home.
When you decide to move to Windmill Place, we will discuss with you in detail what your individual needs are, so that a care plan can be put in place to give you just the support you require. Should your circumstances change, we will help you adjust your care plan accordingly - you just have to let us know.
Windmill Place offers 24-hour emergency response and there are carers on site 24 hours a day.
