Providing a stimulating and fulfilling life is at the heart of everything our dedicated care and support colleagues do.
Your choice to live in an OSJCT home or Extra Care Housing scheme means you will be welcomed warmly into our friendly, comfortable environment where there is a skilled and enthusiastic team ready to make it all about you.
Our colleagues all embrace a person-centred approach to care and will spend time getting to know you, to learn what you like and what is important to you.
We will support your preferences as to how you go about your day, and we will help you to continue your existing hobbies and interests. You will also have the chance to try something new if you would like to; in fact, residents and clients often tell us that life begins at OSJCT!
It is our vision that you remain connected with your community, while also becoming a part of ours. We are always available to answer questions you may have about life in individual homes and we look forward to welcoming you soon.
Whether it’s wet or dry outside, there will always be a fun and fulfilling activity planned that brings sunshine into your day.
Our homes have dedicated Activities Coordinators who are in place to support the wellbeing of residents with a stimulating and varied programme of activities.
There’s always something to do here, you could never be bored. I made a pizza and played scrabble yesterday, today I stroked farm animals with my friend in the garden… who knows what I’ll do tomorrow!
In order to build the best possible activity programme for you, our Activity Coordinators will take the time to find out about your hobbies, interests and any requests you might have. They make sure their programme of events and activities provide a source of fun and laughter to help everyone enjoy their lives to the full and make new, lasting friendships.
Whether you are interested in continuing an existing hobby, or getting the chance to try something new - we have a huge variety of activities available and we are always on the lookout for more! Our homes also arrange for different groups and entertainers to come into the home, as well as organising various trips and excursions.
Enjoying good food with friends is one of life’s great joys, and at OSJCT we pride ourselves on serving fresh, tasty and nutritious meals.
As a new resident, the Chef will want to hear all about your preferences and dietary needs to ensure the kitchen team provide you with a menu that is as delicious as it is nutritious.
Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join. You are free to take your meals in your room if you wish, or, to enjoy your food in a more social environment, you can join other residents in the dining area.
The food is outstanding and the team are so considerate, respectful and kind.

Your new home
Your new home
Each home has a unique look and feel but all are designed to be welcoming, warm and comfortable places to live in: a true home from home.
Where homes have outdoor spaces, they are kept beautifully maintained and set up for both relaxation and year-round activities where possible.
Our wonderful volunteers
Our fantastic team of volunteers help in a variety of ways. Befriending our residents to helping with county events, gardening to sharing their musical skills, looking after our home pets, even enjoying an evening beer in the ‘man shed’; our volunteers are there to help our residents live life to the full.
