Volunteer with us
Putting your skills to good use, meeting new people and knowing you’re making a huge difference in your local community. Three great reasons to start volunteering at OSJCT!
Our volunteers are important members of the OSJCT Team, helping us create happy and fun homes for our residents. They do a range of interesting and rewarding roles, so we’re sure to have something to suit your interests and flexible enough to fit with the time you want to give.
Whatever your preconceptions about life in a care home, leave them at the door. We like nothing better than to have fun and celebrate life and the invitation to join us is open.

How Covid-19 has changed volunteering at OSJCT - things to know before you apply
Our volunteers have played an important part in our response to Covid-19, supporting our homes through this difficult time. We couldn’t be prouder to have them as part of our team.
Please be aware that new government legislation states that anyone volunteering or working in a care home will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless exempt. This means that we can now only accept volunteer applications from individuals that have received both vaccinations.
All our volunteers are required to wear the appropriate PPE and follow other infection control measures when volunteering. You will also need to attend the home to do a weekly PCR Covid test. Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with everything you need and will give you full training before you start.
We're sorry if this means that you can't volunteer with us right now.
If you're still able to join us, please apply for a role today.
