A warm welcome to our home
Windmill Place in Thame opened in 2012, offers 24-hour planned domiciliary care and emergency response to allow you to live independently in your own home.
- Extra Care Housing
Thame is a traditional English market town in Oxfordshire, about 9 miles (14 km) east of the city of Oxford and 7 miles (11 km) southwest of the Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury. It has a unique heritage, with a strong independent retail sector and a wide range of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms.
There are plenty of good, local facilities in the town and a lively, weekly market.
Come and go as you please, safe in the knowledge that our friendly, professional and well-trained team are on hand to give you the support and the reassurance you need to continue to live a fulfilling lifestyle in your own home.

When you decide to move to Windmill Place, we will discuss with you in detail what your individual needs are, so that a care plan can be put in place to give you just the support you require. Should your circumstances change, we will help you adjust your care plan accordingly - you just have to let us know.
Windmill Place offers 24-hour emergency response and there are carers on site 24 hours a day.
The 40 spacious one and two bedroomed apartments, built and managed by SoHa Housing, are available for rent (30 apartments) or shared ownership (10 apartments). The Orders of St John Care Trust were appointed in 2016, following a rigorous selection process, to provide the onsite care services.

What is Extra Care Housing?
The expert care we can provide ranges from practical help with getting dressed and bathed or household tasks, such as laundry and shopping, to companionship and conversation.
And it’s all tailored to your individual needs, so you can choose how much help you receive and when, and this can be adjusted as your needs change.
If you are currently finding it difficult to remain in your home but do not yet need or want the high level of care available in residential or nursing homes, Housing with Care may be just the right move for you. Whether you are on your own or in a couple, we can cater for your needs.
We also offer a 24-hour emergency response service, so you know that help is always at hand should you need it urgently.
