Grace Care Centre celebrates St. Patricks Day
The 'Grace Arms' was opened up to mark the occasion
The COVID-19 pandemic may have restricted access to Grace Care Centre, but staff and residents weren’t going to let it stop them from celebrating St. Patricks Day within the home.
With the rest of society advised to avoid pubs, the team at Grace Care Centre decided to take a creative approach to ensure they were able to raise a toast to St. Patricks by having a drink in their very own internal pop-up pub named ‘Grace Arms’.
Residents at Grace Care Centre also worked with staff to make St. Patricks Day decorations in preparation for the event. After sharing a drink and snack, everyone then sat down to partake in a St. Patricks themed pub quiz at the 'Grace Arms'.
Peter Moore, Manager at Grace Care Centre, said: “We have had a fantastic day celebrating St. Patricks Day within the home. Our brilliant staff team have gone above and beyond yet again to ensure we can celebrate in this way. I have no doubt that the 'Grace Arms' will be used again in the coming weeks.”
