Residents at The Lakes Care Centre enjoyed a very special evening of live music thanks to a visit from Simon Toulson-Clarke, best known as the lead singer of 1980s band Red Box, and his daughter, singer-songwriter Katie Toulson-Clarke.
Simon and Katie treated residents to a wonderful concert, filling the home with music and creating a fantastic atmosphere. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance, with plenty of singing along, smiles and shared memories throughout the evening.
Live music is always popular at The Lakes, providing not only entertainment but opportunities for residents to reminisce, connect with others and simply enjoy the experience of seeing talented musicians perform.
The Lakes team is now looking forward to welcoming Katie back to the home, when she will perform songs from her new album, due for release in October.
Nicola Millar, Home Manager at The Lakes Care Centre, said:
It was such a special evening for everyone at The Lakes. Simon and Katie created a wonderfully warm atmosphere, and it was lovely to see our residents singing along, smiling and enjoying the music together. We are incredibly grateful to them both for giving their time and sharing their talents with us. We’re already excited to welcome Katie back and hear some of the music from her new album.
For residents at The Lakes, it was an evening filled with great music, shared memories and plenty of smiles, proving that a brilliant song has the power to bring generations together.
And with Katie returning following the release of her new album in October, the encore is already booked. The Lakes can’t wait to turn up the music and do it all over again!
