Admiral Nurse Supports Avon Court With Online Talk
The online event offers people the chance to better understand dementia and ask any questions they want answers to.
Having an Admiral Nurse like Luke Carter as part of the OSJCT team allows us to offer specialist support to our residents’ families. At this event Luke will be discussing his role as an Admiral Nurse and what support he is able to give. He will cover the emotional and psychological impact of caring for a loved one with dementia, and offer practical tips and advice. There will also be the chance to ask questions.
Admiral Nurses have specialist dementia training and understanding that allows them to support both residents and their families. It’s a very special role, and one that offers a unique support and practical solutions.
Avon Court is the specialist dementia home at Avonbourne Care Centre and we are pleased to be able to offer our residents and their families the support of an Admiral Nurse. We are one of the few care providers to employ our own Admiral Nurses, supported by Dementia UK.
Dementia is something that impacts whole families. At Avonbourne, we are proud of the care we are able to offer our residents, and our specialist team in Avon Court are experienced at caring for residents living with dementia. Read more about our innovative and practical dementia care at OSJCT.
Dementia can be very challenging for families but knowing there is someone who understands and can offer guidance is very helpful. An Admiral Nurse can help families with their current situation, and to prepare for the challenges of the future, empowering them to be less fearful and more confident.
Luke will be talking on Zoom at 3-4pm on Wednesday 2nd June. The event is open to anyone affected by dementia, and there is no charge. Book your place at Eventbrite.
