There was plenty to celebrate as colleagues from Avonbourne Care Centre came together for the annual Trust Recognition Awards, recognising the dedication, compassion and outstanding achievements of those who make a difference to the lives of residents every single day.
The special occasion provided an opportunity to celebrate the incredible people who make Avonbourne Care Centre such a welcoming and supportive place to live and work, highlighting the hard work, commitment and exceptional care delivered by colleagues across the home.
Among those recognised was Philippa, who was named a finalist for Nurse of the Year. This fantastic achievement reflects her dedication to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and the positive difference she makes to residents and their families.
There was also a particularly special milestone to celebrate, as Pete was recognised for an incredible 20 years of service. Two decades of dedication is a remarkable achievement and a testament to his loyalty, commitment and the lasting contribution he has made to the home and the wider Trust.
One of the biggest celebrations of the day was reserved for Kamila, who proudly took home the Outstanding Leader Award. This prestigious recognition celebrates exceptional leadership, the ability to inspire and support colleagues, and a commitment to creating a positive environment where both residents and team members can thrive.
