Avonbourne Care Centre Launches New Nursing Household
As well as dementia and residential households, Avonbourne will launch a dedicated nursing household in November.
From mid-month, a new household will open in Bourne House, the residential side of Avonbourne Care Centre. This will allow our team of carers to offer support to nursing residents who might need a little more help. This might be following a fall, where complete rest is required to convalesce, or after a stay in hospital when that level of care is no longer required but nursing care is still required to bridge a gap between hospital and home.
Our team is made up of qualified nurses supported by committed carers, available 24 hours a day, and seven days a week, so that our residents are looked after around the clock. As with each of our households at Avonbourne, and across OSJCT homes, our care is tailored to the individual so each residents receives exactly what they need. It’s an elegant environment with compassionate, individualised care in welcoming, relaxing, and homely households.
Both Avon Court and Bourne House will continue to offer respite stays. Everything in our care homes has been carefully designed to enrich the lives of our residents.
Residents in Avon Court and Bourne House can enjoy daily social activities that are perfectly tailored to their needs, with joint events in the central coffee shop, hair and beauty salon, and stylish cinema with screenings daily. There are cosy seating areas for a cup of tea with loved ones, and outside terraces for sunnier days.
