Beating the January Blues at Grevill House
Grevill House in Cheltenham have been beating the January blues with music and movement
Grevill House kick started January with a brilliant music and movement session where residents were able to have fun and some gentle exercise at the same time.
The music and movement session started with some brilliant music and a few song requests before starting to move around, the session started with flexing the hands and feet before moving onto some more stretches.
During the session the residents used ribbons, balls, balloons and instruments to move about and shake along to the music. The residents had the opportunity to interact with each other and with Jan who runs the sessions, Jan tailors the sessions to ensure all the residents enjoy it.
Simon, Activities Co-ordinator at Grevill House said “It’s great to see our residents enjoying the music and movement sessions, the residents love the songs, and everyone leaves feeling uplifted”.
Grevill House will be hosting events and activities throughout January to ensure their residents feel uplifted and beat those January blues.
