Residents and colleagues at Bemerton Lodge have been getting creative this weekend as they prepare a special display to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
September marks World Alzheimer’s Month, an important opportunity to increase understanding of dementia, challenge stigma and encourage conversations about how we can better support people living with the condition and those closest to them.
Our residents have been busy helping to create decorations and materials for the display, bringing everyone together for an activity with an important message at its heart.
At Bemerton Lodge, supporting people living with dementia is about recognising the individual behind the diagnosis, their life experiences, interests, relationships and the things that bring them happiness.
We’re looking forward to seeing our finished Alzheimer’s awareness display and sharing it with residents, families, colleagues and visitors throughout September.
