Buckland Court’s Garden is Blooming Marvellous!
The results of this year’s Trust in Bloom gardening competition have been announced, and results show that Buckland Court in Amesbury is more than just a ‘one trick peony!’
Finalists in three categories, Buckland Court was also awarded a Special Commendation for Biggest Transformation. This special award was given to only a few homes where something stood out to the judges, so they’re delighted with that recognition.
Narrowly missing out to Marden Court for Best Overall Grounds and Gardens, the team and residents at Buckland Court are nevertheless tremendously proud of their outdoor space. Their garden is also home to our vegetable plants which have provided a delicious harvest of tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes and more this year. No food miles at all!
There was also a finalist spot for Buckland in the Best Hanging Basket, Tub or Planter category, as well as the Best Activity in the Garden. If there was ever any doubt, this has settled it, once and floral, that the garden is a bright, colourful place to be.
Well done to everyone who entered, at Buckland Court and across the Trust. Your hard work ensures our gardens are a wonderful place for our residents to spend time. And congratulations to Monkscroft Care Centre in Gloucestershire who were crowned overall Trust in Bloom winners 2021.
