OSJCT Chestnut Court Carer Meets The King

A senior care leader from Chestnut Court Quedgeley has been honoured with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity after being selected by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) to attend a special celebration at Windsor Castle.

Colette, a dedicated and respected leader at Chestnut Court, represented both her home and carers across the country at the prestigious event held last week. The occasion recognised the extraordinary contribution of carers throughout the United Kingdom and celebrated the compassion, commitment and professionalism they demonstrate every day.

During the event, Colette had the privilege of meeting Charles III, Camilla, and Sophie, alongside other members of the Royal Family. She also joined guests from television, media and charitable organisations, all gathered to acknowledge the vital role carers play within communities nationwide.

Speaking about the experience, colleagues at Chestnut Court described the invitation as a tremendous honour and a fitting recognition of Colette’s leadership and dedication to delivering outstanding person-centred care.

“This event shines a spotlight on the remarkable work carers carry out day in and day out,” a spokesperson said. “To see carers celebrated at such a national level is incredibly meaningful. Colette represents the very best of our profession, and we are immensely proud of her.”

The recognition underscores the essential contribution of carers across the UK, professionals who provide not only practical support but also dignity, companionship and reassurance to those they serve.

For Chestnut Court, Colette’s attendance at Windsor Castle marks a proud moment, reflecting the unwavering commitment of its team and the wider care sector to making a positive difference in people’s lives every single day.
