The awards see entries from up and down the UK, meaning competition is always very strong and the standards are high in every category. The aim of the awards is to recognise and celebrate achievements in care for older people, and the domicillary sector, all across the UK. This year, the seventh year of the event, the ceremony was held at the Athena in Leicester, on Thursday 5 December.
Windsor Street Care Centre Home Manager, Marzanna Urbaniak, joined Beata Beavor and Marianne Macpherson, who were nominated in Activities Team of the Year, and Care Employee of the Year, respectively. Monkscroft Care Centre was nominated in the End of Life Team category, and Home Manager, Doreen Paisley, attended with Sarah Davies, Activities Coordinator.
We are so proud of both our teams and the incredible work they do every single day, and to see them shortlisted at a national event such as this is a real accolade – what an achievement!
