Chestnut Court Clean Up at the 2021 OSJCT Employee Awards
The Quedgeley-based home had more finalists than any other home in Gloucestershire!
The annual OSJCT Employee Awards have been running for over 20 years and gives special recognition to some of the heroic 4,800 staff members across 6 counties.
Considering the amount of competition, everyone at Chestnut Court was delighted to receive several winners, finalists, and special recognitions across the home.
Clive Colton won the award for Volunteer of the Year and Claire Fearon won Nurse of the Year.
Our mother and daughter dream team of Activities Coordinators, Ruth and Leah Jefferies, both made the top 3 for Activities Coordinator of the Year.
There were also two more finalists in the form of Courtney Grant for Young Carer of the Year and Naomi Smith for Office Support Employee of the Year.
Finally, the ceremony gave a special recognition for Yvette Strain for her 25 years of service, and Naomi Smith and Leah Jefferies for their NVQ qualifications!
Everyone at Chestnut Court was proud of all of the winners and finalists for their fully deserved recognition.
Chief Executive of OJSCT, Dan Hayes, praised all the winners and said:
“Congratulations to all our winners and finalists, whether they have been recognised for their professionalism or for their long service or qualifications. These awards take place so that the Trust can show our gratitude to colleagues who together provide an essential service to our communities. And this year more than any other, our gratitude will be echoed by a whole nation who now appreciate what they do and stand in unanimous appreciation for their bravery and commitment. This moment is a good one to reflect on where we might be without our tremendous social care workers.”
