Chilterns Court Care Centre launches new day care service
Free trial for over 65s
Chilterns Court Care Centre in Henley-on-Thames is running a special ‘Taster Week’ from 22-26 September to celebrate the launch of its new day care service. During this week, locals aged 65 and over can try the service for free to experience the care, food and activities on offer.
The Chilterns Court day care service will run every weekday, 10am – 4pm. Everyone who attends will be able to enjoy a welcoming, safe environment and a sociable day of activities and entertainment, as well as a hot lunch and refreshments. The sociable setting helps to tackle loneliness and also offers family carers valuable time to themselves, knowing their loved one is in the care of experienced professionals.
The usual cost of day care is £45, with possible council subsidies, but during Taster Week, newcomers can try the service for free following a short care assessment. Activities will run every morning and afternoon and include something for everyone, including quizzes, seated exercises and dance, casino games including Blackjack and roulette, music sessions, games, arts and crafts, baking, and live songs from the 1940s-1960s.
Joanna Dowjeko, Home Manager, said: "We warmly invite local over 65-year-olds to come and experience Chilterns Court’s new day care service with a complimentary place during our Taster Week. Our service provides care, companionship, and a safe environment where older people can make friends, try new activities, and create lasting memories."
