Christmas Singalong at Chestnut Court
Chestnut Court welcomed members of the community in for a host of Christmas Singalongs
Over the past few days Chestnut Court has gone the extra mile to get its residents, the team and the local community in the festive mood with several Christmas Singalong events.
Our first visitors were Quedgeley Scouts who joined our residents in singing some Christmas classics - led by Mel Lewis on piano.
With voices now officially warmed up, things were taken up a notch when The Instruments of Praise Gospel Choir visited later that evening. They helped Chestnut Court to put together our very own rendition of 12 Days of Christmas which led to plenty of laughter. Rod and Patricia deserve a special mention for their memorable performance of Silent Night.
Next to visit Chestnut Court was Catrin from Boogie Beats who was accompanied by Beech Green Primary School. Boogie Beats have been regular visitors to Chestnut Court throughout the year, with their sessions designed to develop social skills, confidence, coordination and motor skills through singing and movement. This festive session was particularly popular with everyone involved.
Reflecting on a memorable week of Christmas Singalong events, the Home Manager at Chestnut Court, Jackie Wright, said: “We have had a fantastic few days of Christmas singing, music and dancing with all of our visitors. Thank you to everyone involved in putting these events on.”
