Dates for your diary! New ways to get involved at Larkrise
The residents and team at Larkrise Care Centre in Banbury love to welcome the community into the home, and there are now more ways than ever for people to get involved.
Larkrise has a lot of events lined up this winter, including the following regular events:
Gents’ Club
Last Friday of the month
12.00pm-2.00pm
An opportunity for gents to meet like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a pie and a pint followed by some activities. The activities will range from garden games, music events, film screenings, pub quizzes, board games and some simple DIY projects. Please book ahead. The cost for this event is £5 per person.
Knit and Knatter
Every Thursday
10.30am-12.00pm
We will be starting some small projects that will benefit residents within the home but that will also bring you some joy too! Tea, coffee and cake will be available.
Dementia Cafe
Last Monday of the month
10.30am-12.00pm
Join together with others in similar situations for a chat. Enjoy tea, coffee and delicious cake in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
In addition, the home will be holding a number of fun seasonal events and everyone is welcome:
• Christmas Singalong – Thursday 19th December, 6.15pm-7.30pm
• Larkrise Oscars – Friday 7th February, 3.30pm-7.30pm
If you cannot make any of these events but would still like to get involved at the home, perhaps you might like to volunteer at Larkrise on days that suit you. Find out how to apply here.
Everyone at Larkrise looks forward to welcoming you soon!
