The Leadership Awards at The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) give team members across all homes an opportunity to pay tribute to their manager for showing outstanding and supportive leadership.

As the recognition comes from team members that our leaders work with on a day-to-day basis, these awards are a great sense of pride for all leaders across OSJCT.

It was therefore a very proud moment for the Deputy Home Manager at Grace Care Centre, Jamie Jones, when she was announced as a finalist for the award across all care homes in Gloucestershire.

Mel Isherwood, Home Manager at Grace Care Centre, said: “It is a blessing, that Jamie, during my absence of three months last year, stepped up, at short notice to support Grace Care Centre’s residents, their loved ones and team colleagues.  Jamie is proactive, supportive, and with kindness was able to continue to steer Grace, I am proud to work alongside Jamie, and the wider Grace Care Centre team”.

Jamie received the recognition because of the outstanding leadership she has shown during difficult circumstances over the past 12 months. At times, Jamie has stepped up in the absence of a Home Manager to provide leadership to team members, residents, and their loved ones. Jamie completely embodies all of the OSJCT values.
