Dignity Action Day at Edwardstow Court
Edwardstow Court in Stow-on-the-Wold made a dignity tree with their residents for dignity action day.
Dignity action day is an annual opportunity for health and social care workers and members of the community to uphold residents rights to dignity and provide a truly memorable day for residents and those who use care services.
Edwardstow Court discussed what dignity means to their residents and how it makes them feel. They wrote their thoughts on cut out leaves which were then placed on a tree which had been made by the residents.
Family members and the team were all welcomed to input into and complete a leaf for the dignity tree as dignity has a different meaning for everyone.
Everyone was able to learn something from the making of the tree which is now proudly on display in the café area. Edwardstow Court runs a coffee morning every Friday from 10:30am which is free and is open to the public, Edwardstow Court would love to see some new faces so do join them one Friday.
