Catherine Semmence and Simon Pillinger, based out of OSJCT Head office in Witney, have been chosen as winners in OSJCT Employee Awards 2020. The Trust, which employs over 5,200 staff across its homes and offices, selected 48 winners from a shortlist of 129 finalists.

Head of Volunteering, Catherine has been awarded OSJCT Oxfordshire Newcomer of the Year 2020 and Information Governance Officer, Simon received the OSJCT Oxfordshire Office Support Employee of the Year 2020 Award.  

Catherine joined the Trust in June 2019 and was nominated for being a fantastic manager, introducing a new volunteering strategy and inspiring and supporting her team.

Catherine said: “I was surprised and delighted to win the award.  I am really proud to work alongside a fantastic team of volunteers and employees, whose contribution makes an enormous difference to the lives of our residents.”

Simon, who joined the Trust in 2018, was nominated for being helpful, bright, and cheerful, always taking time to listen and for explaining guidance in an understandable way.

Simon said: “I’m thrilled and humbled to have been recognised. I love being a small part of the care that is provided to our residents and clients and being able to support colleagues on the front line is immensely satisfying!”
