Easter celebrations at Jubilee Lodge
Jubilee lodge in Bourton-on-the-Water made sure this Easter was a really special one for their residents.
In the run up to Easter residents and the team made Easter bonnets and some yummy chocolate Easter nests which they ate over the Easter weekend along with their high tea which included hot cross buns, Easter cakes and an amazing Simnel cake made by the chef at Jubilee Lodge. After their afternoon tea everyone joined in with playing the Easter cornhole game, residents also reminisced about their family Easter traditions while wearing the bonnets they had made.
Over the weekend Jubilee lodge received many cards, letters and drawings from the children of Bourton-on-the-Water, these made the residents smile and they enjoyed reading them. Jubilee Lodge will be writing back to some of the children and they are looking forward to telling them about their Easter.
On Easter Sunday residents enjoyed a special Easter roast dinner followed by a box of Easter eggs each which were kindly donated by St James Place Wealth Management in Cirencester. It was a great Easter all round for the residents, the team ensured residents were able to speak to their loved ones and used their new iPads for video calls.
Joey Hall, Activities Co-ordinator said, “Everyone enjoyed playing the Easter games and the letters from the local children brought so much joy”.
